Current Analytics Recruitment Market
The market is buoyant, we currently have vacancies covering most of the UK and the general consensus from hiring managers is for a continued hiring pattern throughout 2011.
The risk market, in particular, remains strong with the majority of current vacancies being risk orientated. Marketing analysis roles have dwindled slightly since the end of 2010 but I would expect this to change going into Q2.
Web / digital analytics are one to watch. Analysis of metric relationships on company websites is becoming more advanced and more crucial in improving profits in this tougher economic climate.
Candidate shortage is the key factor currently with most hiring managers having the same issues whether recruiting in London or Bradford. Graduate vacancies are still arising and Masters and PhD students should make the most of these now before a new crop of undergraduates enter the market in June.
