My client is the world's leading financial services enterprise risk management solutions provider. Delivering analytics, software and advisory services to the investment banking community, you will assume a key technical role supporting the firm's products and software. You will provide first and second line support work to customers who have already been through the implementation cycle and you will need to establish and maintain strong working relationships in order to provide a responsive and high-quality support service. The role is based around the provision of technical solutions but can also include delivering client training and ad hoc consulting. Candidates applying should have hands-on experience of Unix (including shell scripting), at least one of Visual Basic, Perl, C++, Java and experience of one major RDBMS (Sybase, Oracle preferred) and the ability to write and debug SQL queries. Additionally, some experience of working with Business Objects would be highly advantageous. An understanding of the financial market place is also required.
