We are looking for a delivery focused Project Manager, ideally from a Consultancy background, to manage a range of high profile projects on behalf of our client for our blue chip client base. Ideally PRINCE2 qualified, you will have extensive experience of delivering major software or systems integration projects (incorporating technologies such as J2EE, WebSphere and Microsoft .Net) preferably on a fixed price as well as a T&M basis. You will have first class client interaction skills and a genuine ability to drive tasks forward to meet demanding deadlines. Overview
The successful candidate will either be working on client sites or in our Ipswich development centre. You will be responsible for Managing the delivery of projects to time, budget, quality and scope. Developing customer relationships at a senior level and supporting account development, Team management and development, Identification of process and efficiency improvements.
Technical Experience
The ideal candidate will have:Experience of managing high profile projects across a range of business sectors (ideally including one or more of our key sectors: - Utilities, Telecommunications, Insurance, Transportation, Financial Services and Public Sector).A proven track record in delivering fixed price and T&M projects (of varying scale and complexity) within challenging timescales and budgets.Experience of managing a range of solution implementations: Bespoke Development, Consultancy, Product Integration and Upgrades. A broad technical awareness (incorporating technologies such as Java/J2EE, Websphere and Microsoft .Net). Extensive experience of managing teams of various sizes through the full project life-cycle. The ability to creatively plan to meet outside constraints with first class experience of project planning and tracking tools, i.e. MS Project 2003.
Qualifications such as PRINCE2 qualified (Desirable) Degree - ideally in an IT related field (Desirable)
