Security Architect / Manchester / North West / £50k
My client is looking for a number of Security Architects to join their impressive operations in Manchester, North West. The Security Architects are required to lead the Information Security engagement across all disciplines to provide effective security advice, consultancy and governance across the project and programmes.
The Security Architects will Work closely with Information Security and Domain Architects to define, develop and manage alignment to the organisational strategy and lead the investigation of complex and critical security issues on major projects and programmes of work, culminating in publication of recommendations.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Lead and participate in the development of Security standards and procedures
* Lead and participate in the definition of the Information Security schedule for third party contracts
* Develop and maintain senior relationships across the organisation and
* Develop and maintain industry and academic knowledge to remain current in technological advances
* Lead and govern the specification, design and development of programme and project Security Architectures
* Coach, mentor and undertake staff management responsibilities
* Maintain knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements and govern solution compliance
The Security Architect need to have the following knowledge/experience:
* Extensive experience as an information security analyst
* A broad knowledge of information security architectures, technologies and standards including ISO27001/2, PCI-DSS, DPA, contract definition, encryption, identity management, PKI, intrusion detection and prevention, firewalls, network and application penetration testing
* Specialist knowledge in at least three of the above areas; recognised as an expert, plus up-to-date knowledge in all areas of specialism
* CISSP, or equivalent professional accreditation
* Substantial experience of the identification, assessment, analysis and management of risk
* Extensive experience of technical discussions and commercial contact with partners and suppliers
