
My Life and pensions client is actively recruiting for a FSA Assurance/Relationship Manager to work very closely with the Risk Migration Programme around Solvency II. Your role will consist of the following:
*Developing and maintaining close contact with the business units to develop and organise a process of engagement with FSA to ensure that we identify the FSA's requirements and expectations and address these in order to support the achievement of the Group's strategic business objectives.
*Help manage the completion of the Group's Risk Mitigation Programme to ensure appropriate challenge of actions, deadlines and associated deliverables providing a process for quality assuring the outputs on an ongoing basis.
*Assist in the development and establishment of a holistic view of the response to future FSA regulatory changes/developments (e.g. consultation papers) liaising with my client and Ignis Heads of Compliance respectively.
*Responsible for the management of the FSA's ARROW or other themed visits including the preparation, co-ordination and tracking.
*Co-ordinate the calendar of business transactions / FSA interactions, to determine timetable of pre-meeting briefings for senior personnel including the Chairman
*Assist with training and development of briefing documents on key FSA related matters.
*Maintain log of all FSA contacts and help provide monthly summaries and other reporting of Group wide FSA interactions, including the overall schedule and minuting of FSA Close and Continuous meetings with Directors and senior executives in the business.
*Assist in the development of an engagement model for my client and the FSA.
*Support the Director of FSA Relationship in delivering project related work as and when required by business needs.
Skills and Knowledge required for the role are as follows: Knowledge of UK financial services business and regulatory context, Knowledge of FSA process and philosophy, Legal, Financial or risk management qualification (FIA, FCA, FIRM or similar), Highly developed communication and influencing skills, Excellent organisation skills, including the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be self directing, Fully conversant in software business applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project & Explorer)
