OUTBOUND AND DISTRIBUTION OFFICER

Job Purpose:

The role owner is to take responsibility of the day to day operational functions in the warehouse of Orders picking, loading & shipping to ensure that all customers' deliveries are going in a timely manner as per the agreement between Oman sales team & Customers in the trade.

Additionally; this role will communicate daily with Oman Customer Service team, Oman sales team and the fleet operation to ensure that Orders are processed; invoices are properly tracked and planned for delivery as per the agreement.

Within this role you will work closely with sales and operations, check, analyze and adjust where necessary the progress of the deliveries planning to maintain optimum efficiency and continuously ensure that the deliveries flow is processed through the agreed cycles and to feed back the sales workforce. You will be continuously focusing on the deliveries planning to help reduce distribution costs and increase efficiency.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1- Interface and work with the 3PL to confirm processed orders after picking and then create deliveries plan based on each customer's consolidated ship date and agreed upon lead time.

2- Manage delivery delays and proactively communicate and resolve deliveries exceptions

3- Provide customer service support to the sales team and customers as required addressing service requests, issues, and questions.

4- Special deliveries: following through from shipment to arrival on urgent deliveries for customers.

5- Communicates frequently with sales team to ensure expectations and on-time service requirements are being met per agreed agreement via solid and effective reports showing the service level vs. the agreement.

6- Manage the overall delivery service level to the trade by maintaining the agreed delivery service level targets.

7- Monitors delivery performance and anticipates customer service problems, opportunities and risks.

8- Identifies and executes best and most cost-effective distribution methods are used by the operations.

9- Manage effectively the cross-docking process between the central warehouse & remote warehouses to ensure on time delivery to trade as per the agreed schedule; that will require communicating daily with satellite warehouses.

10- Maintains documentation and standard operating procedures for Warehouse & Distribution planning processes.
